This is too pertinent not to repost. Cassidy’s “viewing” is tomorrow. Open casket. I can’t decide if I am going to go or not. It’s literally the most terrifying thing I can think of, seeing someone I spent 6+ years of my life with, in a box. I have been told the dead don’t look real, and I know I don’t have to go up to the coffin but it would be there. And I would be there. Do I owe him this? Is this bravery? I am afraid.
